This parent-child workshop, organized by the St. Paul's College Student Union and supported by the principal and teachers, allows everyone to make mooncakes together. With such dedicated mentors, it's no wonder that every student at St. Paul's College is bright and polite. The creations made by students and parents are not only beautiful but also delicious. While waiting for the mooncakes to steam, representatives from Time To Gold shared insights into pastry culture and its historical origins, as well as interesting facts about society and the humanities. The students were attentive, actively participated, and responded very well! Time To Gold is a social enterprise aiming to preserve traditional local dessert culture and empower golden-aged women and retirees. Our project aims at revitalizing traditional Chinese cakes and supporting golden-aged women by launching the first Chinese local traditional dessert and tea house in Hong Kong. We hire golden aged women to create new recipes and high quality local cakes. We endeavor to develop their marketing skills, capacity and provide them a sustainable livelihood. By rebranding and producing traditional cakes with new packages and digital marketing, we are hoping to preserve local food and culture and infuse confidence in women. Now it is our “Time To Go”!
