Earlier this month, our interns kickstarted the internship by attending a comprehensive orientation session, followed by a tour of our new office and AIRSIDE on their first day—a great opportunity for them to mingle with and get to know the team and get a taste of Nan Fung’s culture. Awaiting our summer interns in the coming few weeks are an exciting line-up of activities and training sessions, including a tour of The Mills, Presentation Workshops, NF Hackathon 2024, and more. We believe these events will enable a more comprehensive understanding of Nan Fung’s business, as well as better equip our interns for their future careers.   We cannot wait to see the fresh perspectives our summer interns will bring to the team. 𝐍𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐄𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 – 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞   At Nan Fung, employee wellbeing has always been a top priority, addressed through a comprehensive, holistic approach. Last week, we hosted a ‘SEWell Day’ as part of our ‘Wellness Wednesday’ series to promote wellness on both physical and mental fronts. We kick-started the day with an insightful talk on office occupational health, where a registered physiotherapist gave valuable tips for maintaining proper posture and taught a few easy moves for fatigue relief that we can all do at our workstations. Any #WellnessWednesday would not be complete without a healthy dose of physical activity. Colleagues participated in a range of exercise classes, such as gentle yoga, yin yang yoga, stick mobility yoga, and a spirited night run around Kai Tak with professional PUMA trainers. For colleagues who wanted some me-time, there was also the option to enjoy refreshing, nutritious cold pressed juices and indulge in 15-minute massages provided by the Hong Kong Blind Union—a great opportunity to wind down, relax, and revel in tranquillity. We were also incredibly honored to have Hong Kong actor and DJ, Sammy Leung, share his personal journey of positive change and transformation, highlighting how the transformative power of exercise helped him through difficult times in life. His surprise appearance attracted an attentive audience of over 120 colleagues, who left the session feeling more motivated than ever! The success of SEWell Day is a testament to our unwavering commitment to creating a healthy and supportive work environment where we encourage colleagues fully embrace their wellbeing. The HID-enabled solution will allow AIRSIDE’s office tenants and their employees to seamlessly and securely add their employee badge to Apple Wallet and tap their iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock office doors, turnstiles, elevators, key card-protected amenity spaces, and even copy machines — eliminating the need to open an app or present a traditional, plastic access key.    By partnering with HID and using its Mobile Access solution, the process of granting employee credentials has been digitalised, offering a more convenient and seamless experience. We are pleased to announce that AIRSIDE, our flagship project in Kai Tai, has achieved nearly 70% occupancy for its offices since opening last September, with roughly 850,000 square feet leased to multinational corporations. Rental rates at AIRSIDE range from HK$35 to HK$50 per square foot, nearly double the average rate for Grade A offices in Kowloon East, demonstrating ahead-of-market traction and robust growth in both occupancy and rental rates. In the first half of 2024, AIRSIDE has secured four new leases with international corporations, accounting for 70% of major Grade A office lease deals in Hong Kong during the period, with AIA Hong Kong's four-floor lease totalling 150,000 square feet marking the largest office leasing deal in 2024 by far.  AIRSIDE’s unique positioning as one of the city’s most innovative and sustainable Grade A office buildings is set to draw in more top-tier tenants. With 2024 marking the 70-year milestone, we brought together business connections, strategic partners, and our devoted staff to celebrate our 70th anniversary in May 2024.    Guests travelled back in time to 1954 with the Time Tunnel exhibition – a showcase of how Nan Fung has woven its humble textile roots into today’s thriving conglomerate, highlighting key milestones and achievements over the years. As guests emerged from the Time Tunnel, they were greeted by fun-filled booths themed around SEWIT, our five-pillar sustainability framework, followed by captivating performances – a dragon dance involving over 30 colleagues and a specially curated Cantonese opera performance that tells the tale of Nan Fung’s legacy – kicking off dinner.     As part of the 70th anniversary celebrations, Long Service Awards were also presented to Nan Fung colleagues who have been with Nan Fung for 10, 20, 30, and 40 years. Nan Fung takes pride in its rich legacy, built on a solid foundation laid by its people – which is why we took the opportunity to show our heartfelt gratitude for our employees’ commitment and dedication over the years.    The night was truly a magnificent celebration of unity and camaraderie, leaving everyone feeling uplifted and connected.    We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone involved for making the night unforgettable. We are incredibly humbled that Nan Fung's pioneering tenant engagement program, Net Positive Lease, has recently received another award at the 2024 Shared Value Awards.   The Net Positive Lease was named “Shared Value Program Of The Year” this year among various shared value projects in Asia Pacific. We are thrilled to share the exceptional success of LP10, a residential development project jointly developed by Nan Fung Group and MTR Corporation. With the recent withdrawal of all property cooling measures in the Hong Kong housing market, LP10 has achieved remarkable results. Since the lifting of these measures, LP10 has recorded approximately HK$250 million in transacted amounts, with a total of 10 successful transactions. These impressive figures have ignited a significant interest among potential buyers, resulting in thousands of inquiries. Of particular note are two landmark sales transactions that have taken place recently. On 12 April 2024, a group of major buyers successfully secured three 4-bedroom sea view units for approximately HK$93.46 million. This remarkable purchase represents the largest single first-hand sales transaction in LOHAS this year. MEN STUDIO to craft an immersive experience with the beloved characters "Mr. Men™ Little Miss™, centered around emotional exploration: “Mr. Men™ Little Miss™ Emotional Discovery Journey at The Mills”. The latest collaboration with Mr. Men™ Little Miss™ sheds light on the importance of wellbeing through a series of engaging events, workshops, and book club sessions, taking parents and children on adventure around The Mills to complete various tasks that encourage emotional expression and self-acceptance. All Saints’ Middle School (SKHASMS), where students delved into the world of video production and an exploration of local community stories between September 2023 and April 2024.    Through In Time Of, we have devised an 8-month program with SKHASMS with 100 Form 4 students participating in a series of 13 workshops where they honed their multimedia production skills and learned to conduct in-depth research and craft compelling stories. The students were then tasked with producing a video on a community story, zooming in on either a local sunset industry or a minority-run restaurant, putting their newly sharpened skillsets to the test as they tapped into untold tales of the community.    In addition to enhancing their technical skillsets, the program also enabled students to develop a deeper understanding, as well as a newfound appreciation, of the people and stories around us.
