Li & Fung and LFX Digital are pleased to announce a partnership with IFC - International Finance Corporation today to support SME growth and digitalization in Asia’s supply chains. The partnership will increase access to affordable supply chain finance for smaller enterprises in Asia and integrate greater digitalization in supply chain management. “IFC’s support will help Li & Fung accelerate its target vendors’ access to supply-chain funding and capital, which is not readily available for many smaller businesses in Asia, including medium-sized enterprises now playing an increasingly important role as Asia’s supply chains shift and reconfigure in a fast-changing environment. Strengthening these businesses will help fuel growth and create jobs in the apparel and merchandising sectors, as well as create a more sustainable supply chain that benefits all parties involved,” said Dr. Victor Fung, Honorary Chairman of Li & Fung and Chairman of Fung Investments. https://lnkd.in/gbKau7uy #supplychain #supplychainfinance #SME #Asia

We are pleased to share Li & Fung’s ESG Report for 2023, which is illustrative of our uncompromising commitment to creating a positive impact on environmental, social, and governance, and provides an important roadmap for the company to continue improving and innovating in the years ahead: https://lnkd.in/g629Hydt In the year 2023, we achieved significant advancements in enforcing rigorous social responsibility practices, advancing worldwide sustainability efforts, upholding exemplary corporate governance, and enhancing employee recognition and community engagement initiatives. ESG is at the core of our efforts, and we are thankful for the opportunity to work alongside our partners in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our people, the communities we serve, and throughout our supply chain. As we benchmarked our progress against our goals set in 2022, we are proud of several notable recognitions and achievements this year, which are detailed in this report. While there is still much work to be done, we are encouraged by our progress and look forward to building on this momentum to propel our initiatives to new heights. #ESG #sustainability #supplychain #purpose

Li & Fung is excited to release our 2023 Modern Slavery Statement that outlines how we are rising to this challenge – at every stage of the journey – from robust prevention and mitigation efforts to rights-based remediation. According to the latest global estimates by the International Labour Organization (ILO), 49.6 million people are in modern slavery globally, with some 28 million people in forced labor. Now, more than ever, it is important for companies to take a proactive approach to addressing the issue, using the OECD Due Diligence Guidance on Responsible Business Conduct. Included in the report is a sneak peek at our 2024 Modern Slavery Strategy that focuses on increasing transparency to better assess and address risks in the upstream supply chain and building capacity of rights-holders, their representatives and business partners. We will also be focusing on promoting responsible recruitment in our own operations as well as continuing this work across our supply chain.
