Uniting a series of artistic disciplines, Chaumet unveils Chaumet en Scène, the latest high jewellery collection from the maison inspired by rhythm and craft.
For the first scene, Chaumet artisans have created three parures (Harmony, Melody and Score) dedicated to music, all as complex and penetrating as the melodies that inspire them, including a necklace in the ‘Harmony’ parure with 700 bezel and 2,800 claw settings to express an exquisite sense of movement. Each piece, boasting sapphires and diamonds entwined magnificently, recounts an extraordinary melody.
Dance inspires the second trio in the narrative (Tango, Ballet and Swing) with creations that evoke the strength and beauty of masterful choreography. From the sensuality and passion of the tango to the precision and grace of ballet and the energetic zeal of swing dance, these parures draw inspiration from the connection between body and soul. Ceylon sapphire, rubellites and tourmalines come together with diamonds in a lively performance.
The third scene is dedicated to magic, with three parures (Voltige, Illusion, Trompe-l’œil) that play on mind-bending effects and otherworldly movements that draw the eye. With ‘Voltige’, diamonds that seem to float above the skin evoke the notion of acrobats, while the ‘Illusion’ parure dazzles with Mozambique rubies that twist one’s perception.
With Music, Dance and Magic scenes, Chaumet showcases the maison’s virtuosity. Using techniques honed over centuries and expertise from the house’s highly skilled gemologist, these sets adopt a rhythm of their own, channelling the same feelings art stirs within us through the medium of high jewellery.
