We are delighted to announce that Ikos Olivia, a proud member of the Sani/Ikos Group, has been awarded the prestigious LEED O&M Gold certification for existing buildings. This esteemed recognition marks Ikos Olivia as the first resort in Greece and only the third in Europe to earn this prestigious environmental accolade. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the globally recognised gold standard for green buildings, developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). The iconic symbol of quality recognises beaches and marinas for meeting stringent criteria on everything from environmental issues and education to safety and accessibility. As we mark Earth Day 2024, we’re proud to share our ambitious SAVE THE BEE - The Parnitha Bee Project, working to regenerate an area that has been devastated by wildfires. In recent years, thousands of acres of Mount Parnitha, an important green lung in the Attica region, have been affected by fires. This ambitious project, in partnership with TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS and NGO Bee for planet, will help to restore the area’s biodiversity in just three years. We have installed 75 beehives at Mount Parnitha, which will be cared for by certified beekeepers.
