We’re excited to announce Microsoft Intune Advanced Analytics as our latest addition to the Microsoft Intune Suite. This builds on our existing capabilities that include anomaly detection, device scopes, and enhanced device timeline to simplify your everyday IT operations.
Coming February 2024, Intune Advanced Analytics will empower IT admins with near real-time data on devices with device query functionality and increased visibility with battery health report.
Proactive detection and troubleshooting
With organizations’ increasing reliance on technology to drive growth and innovation, reliable and efficient IT systems are crucial. IT admins need tools to stay ahead of problems that can disrupt operations and negatively impact productivity. Existing anomaly detection device cohorts in the Microsoft Intune Suite and our upcoming device query capabilities enable admins to identify potential issues and get near-real time access to data about the state and configuration of devices.
Anomaly detection goes beyond traditional dashboard and threshold adjustments. It’s an early warning mechanism for IT to be proactive and delve deeper into what truly impacts user productivity. Leveraging Intune’s powerful data platform, anomaly detection device cohorts encompassing insights from app regression analysis, system crashes, and other device errors to pinpoint and resolve issues rapidly.
Identifying device cohorts enables admins to explore potential root causes for medium and high-severity anomalies. Our machine learning-powered model incorporates essential metadata about devices, applications, operating systems, and drivers. By selecting a cohort, you can examine patterns and attributes of the devices affected by or at risk of an anomaly and move from investigation to remediation before the end-user experience is impacted.
With the capability to query devices, coming in February 2024, IT admins can easily query and assess the state and configuration of devices—all available at their fingerprints to gain near real-time insights.
Whether you're seeking performance metrics, configuration details, or other critical information, you can run Kusto queries on demand allowing you to troubleshoot your device issues faster and more efficiently than ever before.
For Windows devices managed in the cloud, this capability offers an on-demand exploration of a device’s operational information, spanning from hardware specifications, such as memory usage, to software configuration, including installed applications, registry keys, and networking settings.
Optimizing performance of your devices
Intune Advanced Analytics is innovating to support a broad range of IT admin objectives, from enabling productivity to making better procurement decisions to bringing down support costs. We’re pleased to share that the battery health report, coming in February 2024, will help IT admins monitor and optimize the performance of their devices’ batteries—with data related to battery capacity, runtime, use cycles, and overall health. This report provides valuable insights into how hardware issues can be prevented and empowers IT admins to plan for future device resources.
With battery health, we’re starting on a journey towards supporting organizations to proactively address hardware issues. We have plans to expand to other device resources in the future, helping balance hardware costs and user experience.

In the months ahead, we’ll continue to build on these capabilities and help IT shift from reactive to proactive by delivering analytics and AI-driven insights that matter to organizations.
We look forward to customers enjoying Advanced Analytics as part of their Microsoft Intune Suite purchase. For added flexibility, this new set of capabilities, together with the existing Advanced Analytics features, will also be available as an individual add-on to Microsoft subscriptions that include Intune. The list price for Intune Advanced Analytics will be $5 USD per user per month. The add-on will be available on February 1, 2024, for enterprise customers and March 1, 2024, for government customers. Global and billing administrators can use the centralized experience (Intune add-ons) in the Intune admin center to easily access trial licenses (up to 250 users for 90 days) and licenses to purchase.
Although available as a separate add-on to try or buy, we expect most organizations will realize the greatest value with the adoption of the entire Microsoft Intune Suite. The list price for the Microsoft Intune Suite will remain at USD 10 per user per month.
