The GCCI team is currently in Tanzania🇹🇿 on a week long work visit, led by the Director of Business Development & Deputy CEO. The mission is mainly agrarian with a focus on the rice and horticulture value chain for food self-sufficiency. Tanzania 🇹🇿 is a net exporter of rice. The team interacted with value chain actors: Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies. Also, Farmer Organisations, Processors, Suppliers of Inputs, and Financial Service providers. The team equally had progressive interactions with the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce and its affliate institutions. The excitement begins as the GCCI is soon set to sign an MOU with its Tanzania partners to foster further cooperation between the two countries. #GCCI #fosteringdevelopment #collaboration #business #agriculture

The Gambia is buzzing with preparations for the upcoming OIC Summit, a significant event that will bring together leaders from Muslim-majority nations. In our efforts to promote this grand event, the Gambia Chamber of Commerce & Industry - GCCI, has been at the forefront in promoting an Exhibition for members of the business community. In a remarkable display of solidarity and support, the GCCI has generously offered its Trade Fair Grounds in Brusubi to the OIC Gambia Secretariat. This space will serve as a parking and storage facility for VIP vehicles during the occasion. In the spirit of development and networking, the GCCI and the Business community welcome the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), in collaboration with The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA). This event under the theme “ICDT Invest Days Banjul” is scheduled to take place in May 2nd and 3rd, 2024, @ Kairaba Beach Hotel. This high-level international meeting will showcase investment opportunities in The Gambia, in preparation for the annual conference of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and will also serve as an avenue for strengthening economic relations among these states.
