Tainted food found in Toronto’s Stanley dog park

TORONTO – Police are warning dog owners to be on the lookout after tainted food items were discovered in Toronto’s Stanley dog park on Thursday.

Police say food items were found laced with pieces of metal and a white powder substance.

The park is located on Wellington Street near Strachan Avenue.

This comes two weeks after Health Canada confirmed some hot dogs found at an east-end Toronto park in September contained traces of acetaminophen.

Authorities are warning the public to be vigilant and report anything suspicious to police.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
