Advising Guidelines
- Immigration Advisors may request an in-person meeting with students or scholars, if required by the nature of the question.
- For international students, if questions are related to work authorization (CPT or OPT), please review the workshops before consulting with an advisor.
- All students and scholars should review materials on our website and/or Compass e-forms prior to consulting with an advisor.

Book an Appointment with Your Advisor
Once you have determined your advisor, please use the links below if you would like to book an appointment:
Walk-In Advising For Students
Walk-in advising is available for students only. If you are not a student, please book an appointment with the appropriate advisor.
The walk-in schedule is:
- Mondays: 2-4 PM EST
- Tuesdays: 9-11 AM EST
- Wednesdays: 9-11AM EST
- Thursdays: 2-4 PM EST
Walk-ins are held virtually, and you may access them via Zoom during the above hours.
Note: First-come, first-served. Wait times may be significant. Advisors will see the last walk-in student 10 minutes before walk-ins end.
