In the finalised carousel keyboard uses can select the toggle button to move to the next slide. However when new slide is visible the next tab press takes the user to the slide selector (> 1 2 3 ) below the slides. users would expect this tab press to take them into the slide to select the link within the slide. To access this link the user has to re-select the slide form the slide selector menu in order to move focus into the slide.

Unfortunately this is a catch 22 as theoretically the prev/next buttons would need to be on top of the slides for this to work and keyboard users would come across them first. I think it is preferable to have users encounter the content first. Additionally, aria-live was added to the current slide so screen reader users are informed about the current slide immediately.
