Advanced Topic-Traditional Economic Development & Incentives-Social Circle

September 5 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

$195.00

In the Essentials course, you learned that the definition of economic development is the creation of jobs and new capital investment in your community.   The approach for “how” to do this successfully is as unique as your community itself.

If you’re interested in taking a deep dive on the specific requirements of industrial recruitment and the incentive process, join us for this one-day class where you will learn the components of a successful industrial recruitment program. The creation and use of incentive policies, measuring outcomes, and how to better communicate your community’s assets to prospects will all be discussed by economic development experts from across Georgia. This Advanced Topic class is best suited for economic development professionals, development authority board members, and elected officials who want to learn more about traditional approaches to economic development.  Registration includes all course materials and meals for the day.

Facilitators:  Andrew Carnes and Jenny Robbins
