Advanced Topic-Housing 101: The Foundation-Decatur

August 22 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$195.00

Did you know that Georgia is facing a housing crisis?

The state’s population is trending to increase by 3.5 million people by 2050. The population boom will only widen the gap between housing demands and inventories. For all communities in Georgia, housing investment is a major driver of economic growth. The Georgia Academy for Economic Development has designed this new course to help leaders understand changing demographics and the effect housing has on local infrastructure. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how local policies impact local housing options.

This course is suited to elected officials, planners, and anyone who works in economic and community development.

Facilitators:  Matt Forshee and Carrie Barnes
