Did I Really Fight is the first single taken from “Oceanz” by Zhero. It is one of the most loaded tracks of the entire production. The track begins with an intro, a kind of conversation between Zhero and the person he first loved. From the first verse onwards the song becomes a vent, a stream of consciousness in which anger, disappointment and despair flow perfectly into the mind of Zhero who screams his emotions to the beloved. From the second verse in then, it becomes evident that the protagonist has loved without ever having been reciprocated and this trauma becomes the crucial point of the piece’s explosion. The obsession and total collapse of the self-esteem transform the protagonist completely, staining his white ingenuousness with black.
The song is closely related to the third song by Oceanz: Black And White.

Did I Really Fight è il primo singolo tratto da “Oceanz” di Zhero, ed uno dei brani più carichi dell'intera produzione. A livello testuale il brano inizia con un intro, una conversazione tra Zhero e la persona che per primo lui ha amato. Dalla prima strofa in poi il brano diventa uno sfogo, un flusso di coscienza nel quale rabbia, delusione e disperazione fluiscono perfettamente nella mente di Zhero che urla le sue emozioni all'amato. Dal brano diviene evidente che il protagonista ha amato senza mai esser stato ricambiato e questo trauma diventa il punto cruciale dell'esplosione del pezzo. L'ossesione e il crollo totale dell'autostima trasformano il protagonista completamente, macchiando di nero la sua bianca ingenuità.
