Gamble Lyrics

[Chorus]
Roll the die (Roll the die)
Hit the curb, do yo' number, pick up money (Pick up money)
Jumped off mama porch and hit the ground runnin'

Trap spot do that Percs, sell that molly, smoke that reefer, huh
Mama told me she ain't like me hanging with them people
Made a forty, put in twenty, made it flip again (Woah)
Twenty bands from the bank, two-hundred Benjamins (Woah)

Two-hundred bands for some bags, boy, you better call me (Yeah)
U-Haul van in the mall, me and what ya call it

[Verse 2]
I just went to court and the judge let me walk for it
God put my blessing in the hood, I had to walk for it
I can end a conversation quick like a off button
Money come up every other hour, yeah, I talk numbers
Lil' homie in the cut, finger itchin', ready to off some
If you ain't talk money over hundreds, it ain't bout none
Partner did ten and he already wanna rob some
Count that backend by myself, and nah, we ain't lost none
For me, they clear the room, make some space for the boss come
Canary yellow diamond, got these niggas actin' cautious
He scary and he lyin', I can tell by how he talkin'
VVSs, they shinin', I got my number and I'm 'bout to—

[Chorus]
Roll the die (Roll the die)
Hit the curb, do yo' number, pick up money (Pick up money)
Jumped off mama porch and hit the ground runnin'

Trap spot do that Percs, sell that molly, smoke that reefer, huh
Mama told me she ain't like me hanging with them people
Made a forty, put in twenty, made it flip again
Twenty bands from the bank, two-hundred Benjamins

Two-hundred bands for some bags, boy, you better call me
U-Haul van in the mall, me and what ya call it

I just got a new pack of beats from the producer, D.I. I was clicking on different beats, and when this beat hit, the first thing I heard was the long 808. It was just so hard. I didn’t know what I was gonna write about on the beat, I just know I wanted to rap on the beat. When I first hear a beat, that’s the first thing I do. Like, “What can I hear on the beat?” I try to get my delivery in. “Roll the dice” was the first thing I thought of. And when I said “roll the dice,” I’m like, if I'ma roll the dice, let’s let it hit the curb. Let’s gamble with some real-life situations.

I don’t use my phone. It’s just all thoughts. It’s like a punch in. I don’t recite words all day. I don’t recite what I’m gonna say. Nine times out of 10, I never know what I’m gonna say. My beat selection is most important. The beat gotta be dope. Or as long as I can hear myself on the beat. After I select my beat, I tell the engineer. I have to listen to like three seconds of the beat. After that, I stop the beat. I don’t even know how the bass sound or nothing. I go straight in the booth and cut the mic on. Only because if write thoughts down, I might forget them. But the first time I say it with the mic on, that’s the art of it. I just like to have the mic on at all times, because once I say it this first time, I’ll never say it like this again. And I just try to get the best voice on it. Once I do it, it’s like magic. I don’t think about it. If it sound good and I been through it, I’m gonna say it.
