“Sounds” is a left-over demo track from Kanye West’s 2021 album, Donda. The track, however, did not go completely unused as “Heaven and Hell” which ended up on the album features an instrumental that incorporates elements from this demo albeit, the loud Yeezus-esque horns towards the end that bear similarity to “Blood On The Leaves” were dropped entirely.
The track features frequent collaborator Travis Scott, as well as Victory Boyd, who began working with Kanye during the making of “JESUS IS KING”. A snippet of demo version of the track recorded in December 2019 leaked on August 20, 2020.
The song got released (hacked) “RAW” on Kanye’s official YouTube Chanel on June 5th 2024.
This track ended up being given to Travis Scott for his fourth studio album, UTOPIA
