Discover the winners of the Serge Weinberg Awards 🌍💡 Yesterday, Foundation S - The Sanofi Collective, in partnership with Future4Care and the accelerator 21st by CentraleSupélec, organized the award ceremony for the Serge Weinberg Awards, OneHealth4All. This event was an opportunity to reward innovative and sustainable projects that combine One Health and digital technology to address the new challenges of the interconnection of animal, environmental, and human health.   Serge Weinberg, Honorary President of Foundation S, after whom the trophies are named, presented the awards to the winners alongside Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Secretary of State for Development and International Partnerships, and President of the Trophies Jury.   Today, discover the winners of this first edition of the Serge Weinberg Awards and the projects they carry.   The Gold Trophy was awarded to Arshia Gratiot for the project Eupnoos, a health-tech company that offers smartphone digital healthcare for cardiorespiratory health and disease detection.   The Silver Trophy went to Guillaume Soto-Mayor for the project Egregor, a non-profit, independent, ethical, and collective catalyst for social and environmental justice across the globe.   Last but not least, the Jury Prize, a year of support by Future 4 Care, was awarded to Apphop, led by Sébastien Rodillon. Apphop aims to solve one of the major problems faced by health institutions worldwide: the waste of expired medications.   Discover the winners and their projects in video !   Together, we continue to work for a healthier and more sustainable future. As #climatechange results in a myriad of worsening, complex weather events including extreme storm systems, floods, wildfires, and droughts, every year more people experience ill health or death due to undernutrition, severe heat, pollution, antimicrobial resistance, Dengue, and diarrheal disease. It threatens to reverse progress in health and sustainable development and disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable countries and communities around the world.    The World Health Organization now estimates that climate change will cause 250,000 additional deaths per year between 2030 and 2050. At #WHA77, member states approved a resolution on climate and health to spur greater action. As we reflect on those achievements and the progress we have made, we also look ahead to #COP29 in Azerbaijan and #COP30 in Brazil.    #Primaryhealthcare is the first and best line of defense against health threats, and is at the forefront of preventing, detecting, responding, and adapting to the health impacts of climate change. Increased drought is just one of the many devastating impacts of climate change, destroying landscapes and lives. This World Drought and Desertification Day, hear from Marina Belén Romanello, PhD on why we must support the communities worst affected by drought to build resilience and solutions that work for them. As Executive Director of The Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change, Marina is part of the Foundation S Collective MindS Climate x Health Council, which we convened at #WHA77 to turn ambition into action through new models of flexible financing. #TimeToAdapt

Foundation S contributed to the Industry Data for Society Partnership (IDSP) efforts with its My Child Matters program in childhood cancer and the Open Data Platform.   At Foundation S, data sharing is crucial to our objectives. Data means knowledge, knowledge drives awareness, and awareness is the starting point for impact. That’s why sharing our data and using it to build a global community is at the heart of the success of our My Child Matters program.   Since launching My Child Matters, Foundation S has gathered extensive data demonstrating the impact of individual projects. To facilitate sharing this data, we created our Open Data Platform in April 2022. This tool allows us to share historical data on every project funded by My Child Matters since its beginning in 2005, spanning 88 countries, and to showcase our 50 new projects.   Foundation S had the opportunity to share this experience during the Virtual Roundtable on Private Sector Data Sharing, which is now published on the IDSP website.
