Reviving organic almond farming in Provence by supporting the #ElzardProject 🌿🌰 #Organic almond trees disappeared from Provence in the early 20th century, hindered by the almond fruit wasp, which devastates over 80% of crops. The Elzeard project aims at finding an organic, sustainable solution to managing this pest without the use of chemical pesticides which harm biodiversity. The Ecotone foundation is supporting the project since 2021 and for 5 years.
