🚨UNESCO raises global alarm on the rapid degradation of soils🚨 Their degradation is a silent threat that is seriously affecting human life and biodiversity. Indeed, soils are essential for preserving ecosystems, regulating the climate, producing food and purifying water. But they are too often neglected or mismanaged. Degraded soil can create food insecurity, and increase erosion. Check here what UNESCO is doing to protect soils: https://unes.co/qme7k6

#ArtificialIntelligence technologies are revolutionizing how we work, interact, and live. While they offer significant benefits, without ethical safeguards, they can perpetuate real-world biases and discrimination, exacerbating divisions and jeopardizing fundamental #HumanRights and freedoms. To #ChangeTheGame, we need women in the decision-making rooms. Women deserve greater representation in leadership positions across all sports, not just less than 1/3 of the board. Discover UNESCO’s efforts to make this a reality: https://lnkd.in/eUZhwk4n

Today, the Olympic Torch is passing through a Cathedral considered an essential landmark in the history of medieval architecture. It’s the Chartres Cathedral, which marks the high point of French Gothic art. The vast nave, in pure ogival style, the porches adorned with fine sculptures from the middle of the 12th century, and the magnificent 12th- and 13th-century stained-glass windows, make this site iconic. It was inscribed on the UNESCO #WorldHeritage List in 1979 👉https://lnkd.in/eCzPJM2k #OlympicTorchRelay

Despite various efforts, 128 million boys and 122 million girls are still out of school, and 57% of the world’s children lack basic skills. If we continue on our current path, trillions of US dollars will be lost to economies worldwide by 2030. This emphasizes the urgent need to invest in education and skill development. Admire the beauty of life through natural patterns... 🌀 💚 Nature is perfectly made! From the mountains to the sea, everything is interconnected. Patterns repeat themselves mathematically, with symmetries, fissures, stripes and spirals in both aquatic and terrestrial environments. But our earth, as delicate as it is, is inherently fragile... to preserve our unique and diverse world, citizens, like you, work every day on the ground. 🌎 🌐 To find out more about citizen solutions, go to the #UNESCOGreenCitizens website 🌟 Choose a project you like ✉️ Contact the project to support it on-site or remotely Check it out here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eeScVUR7
