At #Dior, we transmit to empower. From June 6 to 9, Christian Dior Couture joined the 3rd edition of Les De(ux)mains du luxe, organized by Comité Colbert, to transmit our exceptional French savoir-faire and spark new vocations amongst the youth in Lyon, France. The 4-day event featured a variety of workshops and masterclasses by professionals to serve as an interactive learning space, welcoming over 3,500 young students. This year's edition was organized alongside the 100th anniversary of the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (MOF) competition by the Société Nationale des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. After 2 editions held in Paris, this was the first time that Les De(ux)mains du luxe had been organized in the French provinces. Dior Jewelry stood out with members from the OTELINE Atelier, who revealed the intricacies of our fine jewelry making through workshops. #ChantalMaquaire and Stéphane CANTARELLI, both MOFs, along with emerging MAF (Meilleurs Apprentis de France) talents shared their expertise through immersive, practical demonstrations. This was a special opportunity for visitors to get up close with the precision, detail, and creativity that embody the savoir-faire of Dior and France's rich heritage of craftsmanship. Caroline Acoca, VP HR Business Unit Watches & Jewelry, shares: ‘Driven by the values of excellence, transmission, and the winners of the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvriers & Apprentis de France titles, the Dior Jewelry teams, represented by its High-Jewelry subsidiary, OTELINE, showcased the magic of jewelry craftsmanship through their exceptional savoir-faire. This participation is in line with our desire to develop strong links with the leading players in our profession.’ Tony MAQUAIRE, Managing Director of OTELINE, adds: ‘Dior is proud to have showcased the expertise of our jewelers and setters, from the ranks of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France to Meilleurs Apprentis de France, to a diverse group of attendees. We hope that the hundred or so bezels set, and the thousands of file strokes will inspire future generations to pursue these unique vocations.’ Finally, Isabelle Faggianelli, VP Corporate Social Responsibility, shares: ‘At Dior, our commitment to transmit our unique savoir-faire is matched by our dedication to fostering the artisans of tomorrow. By participating in Les De(ux)mains du luxe, the House of Dior connects with emerging artisans and highlights the craftsmanship that underpins our French heritage. Currently, we have several Meilleurs Ouvriers de France in our jewelry workshops. Their expertise enriches our teams and represents the skills that we strive to pass on — a blend of tradition and innovation that drives the luxury industry forward.’ #DreamInDior © Edouard Demarly
