Join us around the globe to celebrate Europ Assistance's ThinkAbility Week! 🌍 Europ Assistance is dedicated to fighting stereotypes and biases towards disability. During our recent ThinkAbility Week, 12,000 employees from around the world came together to explore and embrace this vital cause. 💪🤝 In Milan, Italy, our teams participated in “A journey in the dark” at the Institute of the Blind, a unique experience that sparked a global reflection on workspace accessibility. 👁️🗨️ In France, employees screened and discussed a film about “invisible disabilities”, as well as enjoyed a large-scale sports event, playing alongside French para-athletes Alexis Bellanger and Benjamin LACROIX-DESMAZES. 🏐 In Germany, Europ Assistance kicked off a challenge with Jakob Klinge, a para-cyclist supported by the group, encouraging employees to commute by bike. An excellent way to promote regular physical activity for everyone. 🚴♂️ 👐 And that's not all... Because each country in our group is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion, we organized many other friendly activities across our offices in Austria, USA, Belgium, Spain, Thailand, and Portugal. Regardless of location or language spoken, we share a common goal: to implement a policy and foster behaviors that truly celebrate diversity! 🔗 To learn more click here : https://lnkd.in/dsbzsSdA Antoine Parisi Virginie Babinet Cécile Kossoff Véronique Destruel Nicolas Sinz Fabio Carsenzuola Pascal Baumgarten Jean-Yves Le Berre Philippe Gervais Chris Carnicelli Andrea Rodo Franck Benchetrit Fabien Azavant Hassen Bennour David Cadoux Alessandra Cecchetto Florence Jean Edoli Njime-Akwa Aline Delettre Inès Bichler Anne-Sophie Sergent Paula Casa Nova Nina Sieslack Hilde Goethuys Alexandra Carvalho Cristina Triola Beatriz Calabria Martín Sathonchat Khomkla Banu Arslan Nobuko Takeuchi Daniel Martinek Deven McCray Lindy Ave Alexis Bellanger Florian Brungraber Wim De Paepe Orawan Kaising Jakob Klinge Benjamin LACROIX-DESMAZES Inigo Llopis Brittni Mason Carla Oliveira Carina Paim Valeria Pappalardo Man-Kei To

Today we celebrate Virginie Babinet, CEO of Travel Insurance and Assistance at Europ Assistance Group, and member of the Group Management Committee. Virginie, a lifelong lover of sports, was honored with the opportunity to carry the Olympic flame on Bastille Day, the 14th of July, starting in front of France's National Assembly. This privilege recognizes her contributions as a leader in Europ Assistance's effort to set up vaccination centers in Paris's Stade de France and La Défense Arena in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. These centers resulted in the successful administration of over 150,000 vaccine shots during the pandemic. Sports have been a powerful driver in Virginie’s life, and have in particular helped her recover from her two past battles with cancer. Today, Virginie also a committed sponsor of our ThinkAbility program, through which Europ Assistance supports 13 para-athletes from around the world. #ThinkAbility #YouLiveWeCare Thomas LESCOT Florence Jean
Carrying the Olympic flame : I made it Sport has always been a driving force in my life, so when I was told this week that I was going to have the honor of carrying the Olympic flame in Paris for the Paris 2024 Olympics, what joy it was! What emotion! Sport is the symbol of Life for me, especially when I learned of my first cancer, my first positive thought was to dream of the first triathlon (a sport I practice as an amateur) that I could do after the battle. It will be 2 years later and precisely in Paris in the Seine and with an arrival at the Eiffel Tower. Quite a symbol! Sport is 25% less recurrence for cancers, so do Sport at your level and with your means as soon as you can! So when I received the fire this morning in this magnificent place that is the National Assembly, what a symbol and what emotion, I had tears in my eyes! My father taught me to love sport from my earliest childhood, both by practicing it and by being passionate about all competitions. My first memory of the games is in 1976 with Nadia Comaneci's 10 and then only memories for each Olympiad, difficult to choose, gold judo with Angelo Parisi in 1980, Pierre Quinon on the pole in 1984, Jean François Lamour in gold at the saber in 1988, 1992 the beginning of the epic in handball with the Bargeots, 1996 in Atlanta of course Marie José Perec and her 200 - 400 double, 2000 or the first of the 3 crowns of Tony Estanguet, 2004 in Athens Laure Manaudou imposes herself, 2008 our handballers have the gold medal with a young Nicolas Karabatic, 2012 London (not yet Paris this time) where I will have the privilege of going 3 times and seeing the hand again on the roof of the world and what happiness also our 4x100 relay in swimming, 2016 Renaud Lavillenie but also Teddy Riner of course, 2021 the French raid both male and female in team sport and now Paris where I will have the chance to support our French both at the Olympics and the Paralympics! The Games in Paris, I have been dreaming of it since 2008 and I mobilized again from the candidacy for 2024 by running, cycling in Paris as soon as it was a question of showing the enthusiasm of the Parisians and carrying the flame was obvious to me working at Europ Assistance in addition to 500 of one of the most beautiful sports venues in the world, the Stade de France where I was able to actively participate in the setting up of the vaccination centers in 2021. And as Pierre de Coubertin said, the important thing in the Games is to participate and so I was delighted to participate in the Flame relay, carrying the Flame will remain a great moment of emotion in an extremely symbolic place for our country and in addition on July 14th! I don't realize it yet but the photos and videos are there to show me that all this was very real ....thank you to the #Flamerelayteam for allowing me this! This is my small contribution to #paris2024 Olympics Games

🚶♂️🚶♀️ Check out one of the latest impactful actions in our ThinkAbility program dedicated to fighting stereotypes and biases about disability! To ensure we’re truly walking the talk, we’ve launched a solidarity challenge for our 12,000 employees to collectively reach 50,000,000 steps – the circumference of the Earth. 🌍 But why stop there? We're aiming even higher – all the way to the Moon! 🌙 To make this challenge fully inclusive, we’re converting all physical activities into steps, from running to mindfulness exercises. Until September 15, 2024, every kilometer our employees cover will help fund the Wings for Life - Spinal Cord Research Foundation which supports nearly 300 research projects in 20 countries aimed at finding concrete solutions for spinal cord injuries. This is a cause close to our hearts and aligns with our commitment to our team of 13 para-athletes. We care deeply, and together, we're supporting meaningful causes with an international spirit and a touch of friendly competition between teams. 💪 To discover more about our ThinkAbility program, click here: https://lnkd.in/eABsessF #ThinkAbility #LookUpSeeBeyond #DiverseAbility #Performance #Sustainability #Wingsforlife #youlivewecare Antoine Parisi Virginie Babinet Cécile Kossoff Véronique Destruel Nicolas Sinz Fabio Carsenzuola Pascal Baumgarten Jean-Yves Le Berre Philippe Gervais Chris Carnicelli Andrea Rodo Franck Benchetrit Fabien Azavant Hassen Bennour David Cadoux Alessandra Cecchetto Florence Jean Edoli Njime-Akwa Aline Delettre Inès Bichler Alina Philippova Mohamed Ndoye Anne-Sophie Sergent Paula Casa Nova Nina Sieslack Hilde Goethuys Alexandra Carvalho Cristina Triola Beatriz Calabria Martín Sathonchat Khomkla Banu Arslan Nobuko Takeuchi Daniel Martinek Deven McCray Lindy Ave Alexis Bellanger Florian Brungraber Wim De Paepe Orawan Kaising Jakob Klinge Benjamin LACROIX-DESMAZES Inigo Llopis Brittni Mason Carla Oliveira Carina Paim Valeria Pappalardo Man-Kei To Wolfgang Illek

Exciting news on our ThinkAbility program! 🌟 "Look Up, See Beyond" – our purpose is to challenge stereotypes about disability and encourage everyone to embrace a broader perspective. Inspired by 13 incredible athletes, we're committed to seeing the person, not the disability. 🏅 Last month, we had the privilege of hosting Alexis Bellanger, Jakob Klinge, Benjamin Lacroix-Desmazes, Brittni Mason, Carla Oliveira, Valeria Pappalardo, and Man-Kei To at our Saint-Denis office near Paris. They were warmly welcomed by our Group CEO, Antoine Parisi, and engaged with our global teams through webinars. In Saint-Denis, our teams enjoyed playing sitting volleyball and boccia with them, and later, these athletes shared their inspiring journeys with our group top 100 leaders. 👥 A huge thank you to these athletes for sharing their passion and inspiring us all!
