    [What visual effects does EliGrain-a have on straw cereals 🌾] In 2024, our EliGrain-a product was tested in 150 different situations across Europe. These trials included R&D trials, farmer demonstrations, performance studies and evaluations by distributors' technical departments. One of the particularities of 2024 is the heterogeneity of climatic contexts on the European continent with, in France, excess rainfall while Spain and Italy experienced extreme hydric stress with high temperatures. In Germany and Poland, the picture is more mixed, with rainfall at the start of the cycle but significant drought stress between flowering and ripening and moderate temperatures. 💡 Despite these climatic differences, we are seeing effects in all contexts thanks to the use of EliGrain-a. Here are a few examples: 🌱 For plants not subjected to drought stress: • Increase in root mass • Chlorophyll levels maintained • Increase in plant height 🌾 For plants that have undergone drought stress at the end of the cycle: • Reduction in leaf curling • Positive effect on ear fertility • Improved grain filling The initial results confirm these observations!     📣 [REPORT: The European Joint Research Center warns that in May there is already a Water deficit in Poland that should affect cereals production this year.] Not all countries are alike and do not have the same climatic conditions at the same time. For some of them, it is a urge to act againgt drought. Reports from IUNG-PIB (Institute of Fertilization and Soil Science Cultivation) indicate that over the past three years, Poland has experienced a growing issue with drought affecting all agricultural crops. Many impacts are to deplore: 1. 🌽 Critical Drought Period for Corn: The greatest water shortages occur during the flowering period of corn, which is also the period when corn is most sensitive to water shortages. 2. ☀️ Impact of Drought on Yield: Lack of water during this critical period can severely limit yield. A single corn plant needs 30-50 liters of water, with varying needs at different growth stages. The flowering period (BBCH 6) is when water demand is highest. 3. 🌦️ Need for Adequate Rainfall Distribution: For normal development and good yield, sufficient rainfall and its proper distribution throughout the growing season are essential. 4. 💧 Consequences of Drought: Water shortages can lead to significant yield losses that cannot be corrected by later rainfall. For example, deficits during flowering cannot be compensated by rains after this period. These points underscore the importance of proper water management to ensure optimal corn yields in Poland, especially during periods of increased drought. ➡️ It is also important news that a unique and efficient solution exists now spring barley, cereals and maize to adapt to climate change.
