NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The last day of 2020 will be a soggy one for us here in Middle Tennessee. A large-scale system will move through bringing lots of rain across the area.
Heavy rain is likely on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Most of it is expected to fall Wednesday night until noon on Friday.
Some areas could see 1-2 inches with pockets up to 3 inches possible. Widespread flooding isn't expected, but localized flooding shouldn't be ruled out.
While the severe weather threat is not high at this time, a stray strong storm could be possible in southern counties.
