NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A break from the heat?
It’s no secret that July 2020 has been warmer than average. In fact, all but two days have been at or above 90 degrees. Roughly 60% of those 90 degree days have been 5 degrees above average. Our average is 89.
So a little relief would be a welcome sight for many of us. Late next week, models have been hinting at a big pattern shift in the eastern half of the United States. A trough of low pressure looks to swing into the east coast, which would bring cooler temperatures to middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.
We’re not talking about fall-like temperatures, but mid to upper 80s would be welcomed with open arms. Let’s hope it verifies by next Friday.
