Current Initiatives (Current) is assisting families recovering from last week's tornado by washing and drying approximately 1,000 loads of laundry at no cost on Wednesday.

The services will take place at two locations in Nashville: Suds Coin Laundry on Clay Street and Soap Opry Coin Laundry on Dickerson Pike. The Laundry Project is a nationwide initiative that provides the funds and laundry items necessary to wash and dry clothes and linens to thousands in need.

Power outages and cleanup efforts in middle Tennessee have made it difficult to clean clothes. Current will be at Suds Laundry from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Soap Opry Coin Laundry from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Laundry fees are paid while volunteers assist with laundry services, entertain children and create a caring space at the laundromat. Eric Miller and several other Nashville Soccer Club players will be on-site at Soap Coin Laundry at 4:00 p.m.

Current Initiatives is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in Florida that started with young adults committed to educating others on current social initiatives and mobilizing them to bring about change.
