Tennessee is truly the Volunteer State,

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee said 20,000 donors have pledged more than $8.75 million to the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund.

CFMT said the latest round of grants is giving $1.225 million to nonprofits and organizations in Davidson, Wilson and Putnam Counties.

Those counties were among the worst hit when tornadoes ripped through their communities, killing dozens in their path and damaging thousands of homes and businesses.

More grants will be handed out in the coming days and weeks.

Here's a list of those that received grants on Monday.
