That IMHO was one of the coolest demos I have ever seen for iPad. Where was this when I was in college. And when people wrote.

Kudos to Apple for actually turning the calc app on an ipad into something pretty impressive.

Well that was cool, but apparently the only feature for iPad…

Expected a bit more, without taking anything away from the calculator that is awesome with the auto completion.

Does anyone have a link saying which iPads will get the equation solving? Curious if it is all the ones that will get iPadOS 18 or just the M-chipped ones.

I feel it needs to slow down and let me write first. Sometimes we hesitate in the middle of a sum. Sometimes we have to rewrite our sum before we complete it.

Tried Math Notes a few minutes ago. For the first time my iPad mini 6 truly felt slow. Not enough to make me want a new iPad Pro, but noticeable.

Interesting. It works fine on iPad Air 5 with M1/8GB. I guess it needs to be optimized more to improve performance on iPads with slower chipset/less RAM.

One of these days, I'll install the beta on the iPad 9.
