For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with GRID Studio to offer MacRumors readers a chance to win a 256GB iPhone 15 Pro. GRID Studio is well known for transforming old, discarded Apple devices into displayable artwork.

GRID Studio deconstructs Apple devices and artfully arranges the components underneath a glass frame. Each part is labeled and accompanied by relevant historical details. GRID Studio's most iconic piece is the GRID 1, priced at $400.

The GRID 1 features the original Apple iPhone from 2007, highlighting the parts that made up an important part of Apple's history. The iconic original ‌iPhone‌ casing is positioned next to the power button, headphone socket, speaker, logic board, ear piece, and other components, and this is before the days where Apple started making its own chips so there are some unique components to see.

iPod fans will be interested in the $120 GRID iPod Photo, which originally came out in 2004, and was the first iPod featuring a color display. It has the same classic click wheel design, but with a 220x176 LCD display. This model is a fun part of Apple's past because it was the first iPod that really supported storing and showing off photos.

Most of GRID Studio's pieces are designed to be hung on the wall, but there are also a selection of products that can be displayed on a shelf or tabletop. The $99 GRID 3GS Wooden Tabletop Frame has an attractive wood backing and acrylic cover that can be hung on the wall or displayed upright on a table with a support rod.

The iPhone 3GS followed the iPhone 3G, and that "S" was meant to represent speed. It had a processor that was twice as fast, and was Apple's first foray into really focusing on blazing fast performance. The GRID 3GS features the classic pre-iPhone 4 design, and it looks great in the wooden frame.

GRID Studio is hosting a summer sale that will last until July 17, and various GRID pieces are available at up to 50 percent off.

We have one 256GB iPhone 15 Pro to give away to a MacRumors reader. To enter to win, use the widget below and enter an email address. Can I also win the instructions of how to put the phone back together? Not sure what I hate more to see: the unnecessary dissection of a beautiful device or those videos of people dropping them out of airplanes to test phone cases…I mean…I hope I win. ;)

Yeah the article didn’t make it clear if you are getting a “deconstructed” or new iPhone 15. It would be weird for a company making deconstructed iPhone “art” to not give away a deconstructed sample, but I don’t see the appeal of a broken-down iPhone 15. Maybe an original iPhone deconstructed, sure, that might be cool to have on a desk…

The article states that the company makes “deconstructed and framed” “vintage” iPhone parts because MacRumors is basically giving it “free promotion”. The company is giving away the iPhone 15 Pro in one piece, I wouldn’t see the appeal in a broken iPhone 15 Pro.

A functional model? Or a publicly displayable tortured one that I would throw in the garbage?

I agree. It is a badly written article. I recommend reading the sweepstake’s terms and conditions.

Here is one part regarding the prize. It seems to imply it is a functional iPhone. People entering the contest might want to read the privacy terms too.

4. Prizes: (1) winner will receive (1) iPhone 15 Pro 256GB. Estimated ARV: $999

Potential Canadian winners must pass a math test to be declared the winner. 😂

3. Winner Selection: …

Potential winners who are residents of Canada must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a time limited mathematical skill-testing question provided by Sponsor. To be declared a winner, selected Canadian entrants must: (i) correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, the time-limited mathematical skill-testing question;

I always thought these were pretty cool, but I never looked up the price, and apparently it used to be 300 USD more than that... Those are some great profit margins for this company, I’ll leave it at that. Good on them.

I am Canadian. Math challenge? I suck at Laplace Transforms. Should I win a deconstructed iPhone - I dunno, I’m speechless.

Years ago I had Mac Plus’s, SE’s and more. Gf said she read about aquariums in one of my Mac mags. I said ‘bad word no’ and gave them to 2 churches and 2 community centres.

I held on to my Xerox 860 IPS until I had to move. It still worked; a pity that no one wanted 8.5” floppy disks, plug in modems or 16K expansion modules, touch mouse, fullscreen display, etc.

The phones in the displays were most likely broken to begin with.

3GS one is actually priced pretty reasonably at $99 considering the amount of work to disassemble and the cost of the frame, etc. Not sure I’d get one though.

I entered and would be over the moon if I won. Can you enter every day?
No? That’s not how giveaways work. Once you’ve maxed out the 7 entries one day you cannot go past that limit on any other day, it does not reset.

Honestly, I might get one, it’ll look nice framed above my desk full of things that tech nerds(such as me) have.

I dug an old Lc 475 out. it felt. Did it boot; gotta buy an adapter so I can connect it to a display and find out.

Here’s the answer in advance; what does ‘order of operators’ mean? Badly, very badly. As in ‘Hey sheila, is that winner alive’? This way, should I win, I avoid the waste of smashing it with a hammer (which I would feel compelled to do) and the next person down the line (randomizer said West Virginia) can display it proudly.
