Additional Notes

  • Please know, Memory Management has always been an issue on any OS (not just Apple's). If you believe there is a Memory Leak, please go to the Apple Menu > Restart > Restart to fix it.
  • When a new macOS release comes out, all issues automatically go to "Untested Issues" until they are moved by someone. Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 15 Sequoia will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.
  • macOS 15 is officially supported on the following devices. If your device is not listed below, it has unfortunately been dropped by Apple. Any efforts of trying to get your Mac running macOS 15, including bugs should be discussed in this thread.

Contacts app is blank. Cannot see any iCloud contacts. Is it just me?

Safari is broken. Open up a new window and the content will always switch to the oppotsite open page in either window when you switch between them. Weirdest bug I've encountered. Made copying and pasting the Music thread nigh impossible.

Finally got it installed and so far no issues. BUT - Installation was a problem on my 2019 NcMP. I couldn't get it to install on a Samsung 970 Pro SSD. It would install, but the Mac would shut off during boot. Tried three times with no luck. I finally cloned (With CCC) my Sonoma StartUp SSD to the Apple OEM SSD. That install went well. I then cloned that disk to the Samsung 970 Pro and that went fine.

Can’t change AirPod transparency modes within control centre either by tapping or long press

Seems like audio stream from Audible gets cut for a second when listening to Audible and opening Amazon app each time 🤷‍♂️

Anyone unable to scroll up through notifications? Not sure if it’s a hangover from pre-existing notifications in iOS 17 and if deleting all fixes forwards, but broken for me atm.

I lost the option for 5440x1440 resolution on my Samsung G93SC and G95SC monitors. Tried the old trick of enforcing 60Hz, non-HDR to see if the option reappeared, but nope.

This uses a M1 Pro, MacBook Pro 13-inch USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4.

EDIT:

Luckily, I could "fix" this by disabling Adaptive Sync on the displays themselves. When macOS does not recognize the display as capable of variable refresh rate, it allows me to select the native 5440x1440 resolution. I am not sure why this changed with the update. I was running 5440x1440 with a 48-120 Hz variable refresh rate on macOS 14.5.1.

i just finished a Teams meeting and it seems that there are some issues with the connectivity. I lost the connection like 10 times in 5 minutes... connected to a 5Ghz WiFi network. Anyone else having this issue?

It's not a bricking situation but, on my MacMini 2018, my eGPU prevents usages... it's like not secure or something IDK... can't login, and even if I login and plug the eGPU in, it takes me right back to the Login Window... we'll see... Intel support without eGPU? oh that would suck...

OWC eGPU, btw...

Anyone one find that legacy contacts get removed when updating?
I have all my contacts in iCloud. The contacts app shows all contacts on my iPhone and iPad. There are NO contacts visible in the contacts app on the M1 MacBook Pro.

I mean Apple "Legacy contact". Apologies - this should be in the iOS forum
