Starting with the 64GB Wi-Fi M1 iPad Air, Best Buy has this model for $399.99, down from $599.99. This is an all-time low price on this model of the 2022 iPad Air, and it's available in every color. You'll also find the 256GB Wi-Fi iPad Air on sale, as well as both cellular devices, one of which is only available on Amazon.

I've reached a point where I don't buy the 64GB models anymore, but for a specific type of kiosk/enterprise use case, fine. At 128GB I'm much more comfortable.

FYI, look for open-box. Oftentimes you get a far better deal. I was able to score a practically brand new 128 GB iPad Pro 11" M2 at Best Buy without an Apple box for just $476. Love it so far. Way better than the M1 iPad Air too.

Funny, I feel the opposite for this.

I often block the Face ID camera by accident on the iPad Pro. I wish it had Touch ID instead.

I got the 12.9 M2 Pro for $799 but it's too large, going to return it and stick with my 11 2018 Pro for now.

The M1/2 may be a good deal for some as they will still be able to run the newest features on the upcoming iOS 18/iPadOS release, but everyone should stay away from the mini because the chip is basically obsolete and will never support the newest features going forward, especially as there is a new model rumored for later this year.
Apple devices have hit an inflection point where devices with older CPUs than A17 Pro and M1 becoming instantly obsolete. Expect these devices to hit lower resale values on par with Intel Macs.

At this point, I'll just spend the extra to get the latest Air. But I'm not sure that M1 would become instantly obsolete.
