You can also get the M3 Pro 512GB model for $1,699.00, down from $1,999.00. The base model “Pro” has always been a sham. it always had sh*ty intel CPUs, and now the same SoC as the Air. Doesn’t deserve the pro in the name.

Depends on the user, I think. Yeah with the base M3 MBP you get a slightly better display, fancier microphone etc, but it’s 26% heavier too. For some people the Air is more convenient and enough. I’m in that camp.

Surely you mean 8GB RAM BS. AFAIK people have been asking for 16GB as the baseline for nearly a decade now.

The Pro iPad is quite exceptional and hardly has any competition in the market. Apple likely thinks that it can get away with much higher pricing in this product category. MacBooks on the other hand still to some degree competes on specs with PCs, at least in the business market.
