Rent Day normally means paying your landlord one of your biggest monthly expenses. But, Bilt flipped the script to the first day of every month into an opportunity to earn bonus points and take advantage of limited-time offers. For July, Bilt is offering a terrific transfer bonus that could stretch those points even further. Here’s what you need to know.

Bilt Rent Day promotions for July 2024

Whether you have the Bilt Mastercard® or not, Rent Day promotions provide the opportunity to earn valuable Bilt Rewards points. Every month, there are multiple ways to earn bonus points. Sign up for a free Bilt Rewards program membership today to start earning.

Double points on the first of every month

The Bilt Mastercard offers unique benefits for renters but also offers attractive perks that anyone can enjoy. It has a $0 annual fee, and it is the only credit card where you can pay rent without additional fees. Points can be redeemed for rent, a house down payment, to book travel, transfers to airline and hotel partners, and more. Plus, the card includes travel and purchase protections, cell phone insurance and other benefits.

On the first of each month, Bilt Rewards members get double points on all non-rent purchases made with the Bilt Rewards Mastercard. Cardholders can earn up to 10,000 bonus points on purchases from 12 a.m. Eastern to 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

With this promotion, even bonus category purchases earn double points without requiring pre-activation. The bonus categories include:

  • Dining: 6X points (regularly 3X points)
  • Travel: 4X points (regularly 2X points)
  • Other purchases: 2X points (regularly 1X) [excludes rent]

Rent payments earn 1X points since they’re not eligible for double points.

However, cardholders must make at least five purchases each month in order to earn points.

The Bilt Mastercard®’s single biggest advantage is the ability to generate points from rent payments. As of June 2023 the median rent in a major U.S. city was $2,029, and if the average renter paid using their Bilt Mastercard instead of a bank transfer, they’d generate over $300 in travel rewards each year. The Bilt Mastercard is an excellent choice if you’re looking to generate travel rewards or points that can go toward a down payment fund through rent payments. If you’re looking to maximize short-term cash back, however, consider a card with a $200 – $600 cash welcome bonus like the Citi Double Cash Card or the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.

Other perks on Rent Day

Earn up to 250 points with Point Quest Trivia: Last month

Even if you don’t have a Bilt Mastercard, you can still earn points on Rent Day. When you answer Point Quest trivia questions correctly, you can earn up to 250 points each month. There are five questions worth up to 150 points in total. If you answer the first five correctly, you’re eligible to answer a bonus question worth 100 points. Visit the Point Quest tab inside the Bilt Rewards app to play. This feature is being retired after July’s game.

Promotions to get your rent paid

Two additional promotions are available on Rent Day that offer the chance to get your rent paid by Bilt.

  • SoulCycle x Bilt Rent Day rides. On July 1, members receive a complimentary bike in special-themed classes at more than 50 SoulCycle locations nationwide. Book your session through the Bilt Rewards app beginning Friday, June 28th at 12 noon Eastern. One lucky rider will get their rent paid (up to $2,500).
  • Rent Free Game Show. The top 10 scoring players will be July’s rent winners, while the next top scoring 600 folks will earn extra Bilt points.

The bottom line about Bilt Rent Day promotions

Bills are often due on the first day of each month, which can be a sad day for your wallet. However, with Bilt Rent Day, you have the opportunity to earn double points, win points for free and take advantage of other limited-time offers. In July 2024, Rent Day is a real bonus and partnership with an enthusiast-fave airline.
