Tinish the dog-faced baboon on Allamayu's shoulder
Dog-faced baboon named Tinish (Amharic for little), who was orphaned sits on a man named Allamayu's shoulder. She became a privileged member of the expedition party, given into the charge of Allamayu, Bailey's gun bearer. Tinish rode on the back of a mule and slept with a slave at night because she could not stand the cold of high altitudes. 1927.
