Part Of The Whole: Synecdoche

For the Flickr group "Flickr Friday".

This weeks theme "Synecdoche." Yes, I had to look up the meaning too.

 

This week the group wanted to see an "interpretation of #Synecdoche, where a part can be understood to represent a whole!" So here's my take on a part representing the whole.

 

After eating the fruit we're left with the banana skin, and despite the actual banana no longer being present, the skin/peel still tells us that there was once a banana here. Even when looking at the misshapen empty remains, we still have the original banana shape imprinted in our memory.
