Software Quality Assurance Specialist, Firebrand Technologies

We’re seeking a team-oriented Software Quality Assurance Specialist who understands the critical nature of manual and regression testing and loves to dig in, investigate, and problem solve. The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally organized, methodical professional who has the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in accuracy and security.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Uncover, document, and track product defects
  • Design, write, and execute test cases using established test design techniques
  • Build and monitor test environments
  • Log status into tracking software
  • Act as product technical liaison between support and development teams
  • Ensure that releases adhere to a high standard of quality
  • Coordinate with internal departments to deliver seamless services to external customers

To be successful in this role, we ask that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar discipline
  • Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with MSSQL
  • Ability to analyze complex relationships and configurations and clearly summarize results

Accounting Manager, Shared Services

We’re seeking an experienced Accounting Manager who possesses the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. The ideal candidate will be savvy in Excel, have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to create and maintain a team-oriented environment. The ability to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements will be favored, as will strong integrity and ethics.

The preferred candidate will live close enough to work in our Newburyport, Massachusetts office 1-2 days per week. Limited outside travel may also be required.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in the establishment of internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
  • Assist with audits and taxes
  • Process payroll
  • Prepare financial reports for taxes and regulatory agencies
  • Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Collaborate with executives and directors to ensure proper accounting procedures are followed across the company
  • Attend various departmental meetings in order to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels
  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiencies

To be successful in this role, we ask that you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of finance experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license a plus
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, QuickBooks, and PayChex a plus
  • Exposure to corporate taxes, multi-state sales taxes, and accounting/VAT with foreign currencies a plus
  • Strong knowledge and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to merge financial relevant decisions with the company’s overall objectives
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levels
  • Ability to critically think and communicate when the opportunity arises
