Simon Cowell Dishes on His New Diet

It's a new season of “America's Got Talent,” and a new look for judge Simon Cowell!

“Extra's” Terri Seymour caught up with Simon, who looked trimmed down on the red carpet. Of his health regime, he said, “New diet. I went to see this guy who's very well-known. And he said to me, after doing some blood work, 'You can't have red meat, dairy, sugar, bread or gluten.' I'm thinking, 'What about alcohol?'”

Cowell laughed, adding, “And he said, 'Maybe not quite as much as you had before.' And I did it and I stuck to it and it's easy.”

Simon has also been inspired by his 5-year-old son Eric's diet. The 59-year-old commented, “Apart from ice cream, he actually likes water, eats all his raw vegetable. I'm on the Eric Cowell diet.”

Cowell gushed about Eric,“He's a sweetheart.”

The new season of "America's Got Talent" is bringing new faces to the judges' table — Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union are joining Simon and Howie Mandel! Of the team chemistry, Simon shared, “They're feisty. They don't mess around. We're very comfortable with each othe, which is great.”

Terry Crews is hosting after doing “AGT Champions.” Simon raved, “He is like the ultimate cheerleader.”
