Zendaya helped Timothée Chalamet furnish his NYC apartment because it was too 'teenage boy'

"We just needed a few necessities — you know, cups and plates, knives and forks, things to clean…"

From Arrakis to New York City, Zendaya has Timothée Chalamet’s back.

While visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday, Chalamet and his Dune costars — Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler — were asked if they’ve remained close since filming the movie's highly anticipated sci-fi sequel.

“Speaking personally, I have great friendships with everyone here,” Chalamet told host Jimmy Kimmel. “Zendaya helped me set up my first apartment in New York years ago.”

As Zendaya tells it, Chalamet’s abode just needed a little updating to become a properly functional, mature space.

“The vibe was very teenage boy,” she explained. “We just needed a few necessities — you know, cups and plates, knives and forks, things to clean… We needed some structure!”

Chalamet maintained that the space did have some adult things, though.

“There was a bed,” he said, before quietly adding that there was “no bed frame.”

Zendaya said she ended up fixing Chalamet’s problem by taking him on a Bed, Bath & Beyond shopping trip. “We got everything he needed,” she said. “All the big-boy stuff.”

Chalamet added, “It was literally Bed, Bath & Beyond.”

And no, unfortunately, they did not have any coupons with them. "We missed out on that part," Zendaya joked.

You may recall that the pair were spotted at a Bed, Bath & Beyond in New York City back in 2020, which may be when their fateful apartment shopping spree took place.
