The Good Place Gets Back to Work

After the game was changed in The Good Place's season 1 finale (spoiler: heaven = hell), what was it like for the cast to start a whole new one in season 2? "Getting back to work, truly it felt like everyone was in on the secret," says D'Arcy Carden, who plays the human Siri known as Janet. "Because the twist worked so well, we were very excited. We were like, 'This worked! People went with it!' I think we knew it was going to work, but I don't think we realized it would work as well as it did. I don't know anybody that wasn't shocked." More surprises and jolts are coming when the NBC comedy, which also stars Ted Danson and Kristen Bell, returns this fall. "There's nothing simple when you're in this Good Place," Carden teases, and she cryptically hints at something good to come: "'80s hairdo. And one pierced ear." Get ready to be hooked. Again.
