Kelly Ripa slams Kyle Richards' critics amid her separation from Mauricio Umansky: 'Grow up'

The RHOBH star opened up about her painful breakup and revealed that fans have told her "true love doesn't exist" after her marriage dissolved.

If you're coming for Kyle Richards, remember that you're also coming for Kelly Ripa, who has no time for fans criticizing the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star amid her painful separation from husband and Dancing With the Stars contestant Mauricio Umansky.

The talk-show host defended Richards after the Halloween franchise actress revealed she receives vile messages on the internet about the dissolution of her marriage.

"It's been rough," Richards told Ripa and Mark Consuelos Friday on Live With Kelly and Mark. "This is unchartered territory for me. It's been difficult. Fortunately, it was amicable. It's hard. My main concern is our daughters, who've been amazing, my four best friends. It is hard."

Richards said it's challenging for her family to navigate the ordeal as public figures because fans "feel like they want to know all the answers" and "create their own story because we haven't explained everything," before revealing that viewers have told her that their "hopes and dreams are crushed" and that "true love doesn't exist" now that Richards and Umansky have split.

"Let me just say this on your behalf," Ripa cut in before turning to address the camera. "Grow up. It's not about you."

Consuelos then moved the conversation on to a different topic.

Umansky, who has appeared as Richards' spouse on RHOBH, was previously a guest on Live ahead of his run on DWTS season 32, and said that he felt confident viewers would see Richards supporting him in the audience as he competed for the series' title.
