Bridgerton returns to Netflix March 25, and we can't get enough of the newly released first-look images from the hit Shondaland series. Season 2 follows eldest Bridgerton, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), in his quest for a wife — which finds him facing off against spirited Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). The two have instant chemistry — and dislike for one another— so we imagine he's not whispering sweet nothings in her ear here. Click through for more glimpses of the show's second season.

Welcome to the gun show

Bridgerton has never been gun-shy, but it looks like they're taking things literally in season 2. This year we'll visit the Bridgerton's country estate — and it seems hunting will be a key part of the itinerary. Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) leads the party in the woods, followed by mysterious new character Jack (Rupert Young) and Bridgerton brothers, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Benedict (Luke Thompson).

Peneloise forever

We can't wait to reunite with our favorite BFFs. Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) will still turn to her confidante Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), but how will season 1's final reveal — that Penelope is the one behind Lady Whistledown — test their friendship?

Oh, brother

Daphne (Phoebe Dyvenor) is now Duchess of Hastings, happily settled as wife and mother. But that doesn't mean she's going to sit idly by while her siblings have all the fun. Anthony was overly involved in her love life, so will the shoe now be on the other foot as he searches for a wife?

Puppy love

While book lovers have been eager to meet the Sharma family, we were most excited to see one particular member of their brood — Kate's mischievous dog, Newton. Here we get our first glimpse of the corgi troublemaker who can't resist wriggling his way into the Sharma sisters' already complicated love triangle with Anthony.

All that glitters is not gold...

While the Bridgertons are still safely ensconced at the center of the ton, their neighbors — and sometimes rivals — the Featheringtons are facing a much different reality. Learning of Lord Featherington's extensive debts (and ultimate demise at the hands of creditors) in season 1, they now face the challenge of continuing to put up a good show while they creep toward destitution.

Anyone who's ever obsessed over Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy from the BBC's Pride and Prejudice trying to literally exercise out his feelings for Elizabeth Bennet while muttering "I shall conquer this" has been waiting for some Bridgerton fencing. And we'd imagine these bros have quite a few unseemly emotions to exorcise themselves...
