Oliver prepares for first battle as Spectre in 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' trailer

The multiverse was completely destroyed in The Flash’s hour of “Crisis on Infinite Earths” back in December, and the surviving heroes and Lex Luthor (a.k.a. the Seven Paragons) found themselves defeated and stranded at the Vanishing Point. But a brand-new trailer reveals that they haven’t lost their resolve just yet.

“If we’re gonna go down, we go down fighting,” declares Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) in the teaser.

On Friday, Stephen Amell unveiled a promo for the final two parts of the Arrowverse’s epic crossover, which will unfold across Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The most exciting thing about the trailer is that it reveals more details about Oliver Queen’s (Amell) transformation into the Spectre, DC Comics’ Spirit of Vengeance.

“Every punch you’ve thrown, every kick you’ve landed, they have all led you here, to this moment, to the ultimate fight,” Jim Corrigan (Stephen Lobo) tells Oliver as he prepares him for the final battle against the Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett). Part of that preparation obviously includes gathering his friends from the Vanishing Point.

Elsewhere in the clip, we see shots from a huge fight between the Paragons and the Anti-Monitor’s shadow army, Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) firing off some energy blasts from his hands, another huge brawl with some of the heroes who died when the multiverse ended (welcome back, Black Lightning!), and a sign that there are indeed some comedic moments ahead too.

“Is this what all the crossovers are like?” wonders Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez).

“Not exactly,” replies Sara.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” concludes Tuesday, Jan. 14, with Arrow at 8 p.m., followed by DC’s Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m., on the CW.
