New Outlander trailer teases more time travel for the Frasers

“I’m grateful for every day we have.”

Is Claire (Caitriona Balfe) speaking for her and Jamie or the entire — and very thirsty — nation of Outlander fanatics?

In the latest trailer for the Starz drama, we get a little sugar between Roger (Richard Rankin) and Bree (Sophie Skelton), a sweeping view of Fraser ridge, and an ominous request from the Brits that it’s time for Jamie (Sam Heughan) to “fulfill his oath.” War is coming, so the 18th century might not be the best place for Jamie and Claire’s daughter to raise her infant son with Roger.

And it doesn’t sound like anyone’s going to have to ask Roger twice about possibly traveling back to the future: Bree looks her man square in the eyes and asks, “you want to go back, don’t you?”

Um, yeah.

There’s also lots of talk about “playing God” and whether it’s prudent to change the course of American history. And it looks like Jamie is still fighting those pesky allergic reactions to cotton — his shirt comes off yet again!

There’s lots to talk about in this trailer, Sassenachs! Check back for commentary from executive producer Matthew B. Roberts about their version of a flaming religious symbol for season 5, which is based on The Fiery Cross — the fifth book in Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling book series.
