Hulu's Veronica Mars revival cops first teaser, premiere date

Veronica Mars is back on the case — again.

Kristen Bell returns as the spunky private investigator in the first teaser for Hulu’s Veronica Mars revival, which the video announced will premiere July 26, with all eight episodes available at once.

As Mars says in the teaser, the latest iteration of the cult favorite will take place during Spring Break in Neptune. Here’s the official synopsis: “Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the family of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”

Joining Bell are fellow original stars Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra, and Ryan Hansen, in addition to newbies J.K. Simmons, Patton Oswalt, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, who will play the “really cool” and “badass” Nicole Malloy. “It’s exciting for me to be a part of this thing that so many people already know and love,” the Good Place star recently told EW of being cast on Mars. “It’s rare that you get to be part of a show that has such history.”
