Watch Ron Perlman guest star as Grandpa Brock in exclusive Splitting Up Together clip

Grandpa’s in town!

In an exclusive clip from Tuesday’s season finale of Splitting Up Together, Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) appears as Martin’s (Oliver Hudson) father Brock, but when he stops by the house to visit, it’s clear that this father/son relationship isn’t the strongest — indeed, Brock has only come to visit because he believes his son is dead!

You see, with Grandparents Day coming up at school, Milo decides to reach out to Brock to involve him in it, but realizes he can only get him there by lying that Martin has passed away. Brock does seem a tad disappointed to realize his son is in fact still alive, but maybe the fictional brush with mortality will encourage the men to reconnect?

Splitting Up Together airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on ABC. Watch the clip above.
