The Bachelor and Single Parents will crossover this week

The Bachelor is asking ABC’s breakout freshman sitcom Single Parents if they’ll accept this rose?

On Sunday, Single Parents star Kimrie Lewis revealed that the two network shows would share some crossover time on episodes set to air March 12 and 13. Lewis dropped the news on Twitter, writing, “No big deal…Just hanging in the jacuzzi at The Bachelor mansion A special @SingleParentsTV drops Wednesday. And…you might see familiar faces on the @BachelorABC finale Tuesday night. Set those DVRs now! #SingleParents #TheBachelor #crossover.”

The tweet also included two photos, a still of Single Parents characters Angie (Leighton Meester) and Poppy (Lewis) chilling in the infamous Bachelor mansion hot tub. Lewis also shared a shot of her and Meester with Bachelor host Chris Harrison. On Wednesday, March 13, it appears Angie and Poppy will somehow find themselves enjoying the amenities of The Bachelor mansion on a new episode of Single Parents that may feature a guest star appearance from Harrison.

Lewis also teased that some Single Parents cast members will appear on The Bachelor season finale, which wraps up its two-night, four-hour run on Tuesday, March 12. Given her and Meester’s involvement, it’s likely they will be the two cast members popping up on the hit ABC franchise.

Single Parents debuted on ABC in Fall 2018, with a buzzy cast including TV veterans Meester, Taran Killam (SNL), and Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond). The series, from New Girl creator Liz Meriwether and J.J. Philbin, follows a ragtag group of single parents who bond over their challenges raising their kids alone, creating their own found family.

The series has been a hotbed of crossover opportunities, reuniting many familiar faces. Back in January, the show enjoyed a mini-Saturday Night Live reunion when Vanessa Bayer guest starred opposite her former sketch show co-star Taran Killam as his character’s ex-wife. Another high-profile casting moment is poised to occur in the season one finale, when Meester’s real-life husband Adam Brody (The O.C.) will guest star as her character’s ex-boyfriend, musician Derek.

Single Parents has not officially been renewed for a second season and its future is still uncertain. This bit of network synergy seems to suggest that ABC is making a push to bump the show’s ratings before making a final decision.

ABC did not immediately respond to requests for confirmation.

Single Parents airs Wednesdays at 9:30 on ABC. The Bachelor will air its two-part season finale beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday, March 12 and concluding on Tuesday, March 13.
