Killing Eve season 2: Eve is losing her mind in new trailer

Is the wait for the return of Eve killing you? To quote Villanelle: “Sorry babe x.” You’ve still got a solid month before season 2 of the BBC America spy thriller debuts on April 7 at 8 p.m ET. But here’s something to at least dull the pain: a new Killing Eve trailer.

Season 1 ended with MI6 secret agent Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) surprise-stabbing international assassin of mystery Villanelle (Jodie Comer), before Villanelle escaped with a serious stomach wound. Season 2 resumes 30 seconds later, with the hunt (for each other) renewed. In this 60-second trailer, you will deduce that Eve’s former inscrutable MI6 boss Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) is not so former, tasking Eve once again with finding Villanelle — that is, “if she’s alive.” Oh, she’s alive, all right, surprising a target in the elevator while dressed in a tie and hitman suit, being dragged out into the woods, and rejecting a social media influencer who wants to post a picture of her on Instagram. “No,” Villanelle snipes to her. “No, of course not. Get a real life.”

Meanwhile, Eve’s life has been turned upside down by the trauma of their last encounter and her obsessive search to track down Villanelle is consuming her whole. “It feels like I might be losing my mind, a little bit,” she confesses. Check out this trailer — which was timed for release on International Women’s Day — to see what else is dawning on Eve.
