Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer weigh in on your Killing Eve theories

Killing Eve is a spy thriller that explores the alluring, unsettling bond between inquisitive covert MI6 intelligence officer Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) and mercurial assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer). Their relationship has kept fans guessing, and spinning a fair share of conspiracy theories online. Is Villanelle the secret spawn of Villanelle’s maybe-not-alive-anymore handler and Russian intelligence officer Konstantin (Kim Bodnia) and Eve’s MI6 boss Carolyn (Fiona Shaw)? Is Eve’s husband, Niko (Owen McDonnell), actually a spy like Eve? Is Konstantin working for the good guys in some capacity? Will Eve and Villanelle find a way to join forces before walking off together into the European sunset?

Two people who might know a thing or three about this critical darling of a show — Oh and Comer — are here to analyze such theories and let you know how legitimate they might prove to be. Here, for example, is a taste of their thoughts on that living-happily-ever-after theory. “I’m all for living happily ever after,” says Comer. “I think the happily is the only problem,” quips Oh. “Along with… living.”

The stars of Killing Eve aren’t here in video form only; they also grace the cover of this week’s issue of EW. Make sure no one tailed you and then read our Q&A with Oh and Comer about Eve and Villanelle’s killer dynamic and what to expect in season 2, as well as our visit to the set to glean even more intel.

Killing Eve returns April 7 at 8 p.m. on BBC America (and AMC).
