Julianna Margulies races to stop an Ebola outbreak in The Hot Zone trailer

Julianna Margulies is trading a pantsuit for a Hazmat suit in the first trailer for The Hot Zone.

In EW’s exclusive look at National Geographic’s new limited series, which will premiere on Memorial Day, the Good Wife alum is in a race to stop an Ebola outbreak.

Based on Richard Preston’s 1994 nonfiction best-seller of the same name, The Hot Zone tracks the origins of the deadly virus and its arrival in a research lab outside of the nation’s capital. Margulies stars as Dr. Nancy Jaax, a U.S. Army scientist working with a secret military team to head off the outbreak before it spreads to the human population.

“My respect quadrupled for people who run the CDC, just by putting on the suit itself,” Margulies previously told EW. “These people are our heroes. They put their lives on the line.”

The Hot Zone’s strong supporting cast includes Noah Emmerich (The Americans), Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones), Robert Sean Leonard (House), Robert Wisdom (The Wire), James D’Arcy (Dunkirk), Paul James (Greek), and Topher Grace (BlacKkKlansman).
