CNN will air remaining Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown episodes

At the time of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain’s death last week, he had been working on a new episode of his award-winning CNN show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, set in France. That episode remains unfinished, but CNN will air the two remaining completed episodes of the show. CNN media reporter Brian Stelter broke the news in the latest edition of his Reliable Sources newsletter.

“After he was found dead last Friday, the network decided to go ahead and air the previously scheduled new episode, featuring Berlin, on Sunday,” Stelter wrote. “Now we know the plan for the remaining episodes. A CNN spokeswoman says the final two episodes of the season will also air as scheduled, this Sunday and next Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.The ‘Remembering Anthony Bourdain’ tribute will re-air this Sunday at 8.”

The last two episodes are set to focus on Cajun Mardi Gras and Bhutan.

Fans of Bourdain’s show also have more opportunities to watch older episodes. Although Parts Unknown was originally set to leave Netflix on June 16, the streaming platform has now renewed its deal to keep older seasons of the show available “for months to come.”
