Spoiler Room: Scoop on Scandal, Once Upon a Time, Supergirl, and more

Do you have any scoop on the Scandal series finale? — Lilly
I asked Kerry Washington about the very end scene of the series, and here’s what she revealed: “The final moment, as it was scripted, was pretty momentous, and evocative and unforgettable,” she says. “The imagery of it leaves you with a lot of questions. I think it can be interpreted in so many ways.” Pick up this week’s issue of EW for more on the Scandal series finale!

Any scoop for the series finale of Once Upon a Time? — Gemma
I was on set for their third-to-last day of filming and everything I saw was, well, super spoilery and also on a green screen, so there’s only so much I can reveal right now. But I did score this cryptic, but surprisingly juicy — trust me — tease about the final hour. “I would definitely say the last episode is as epic as probably any episode that Once Upon a Time has ever done,” Colin O’Donoghue says. “I mean it’s massive, it’s huge. It’s like taking the best of all seasons and jamming it into one — literally.”

What can we expect when Supergirl returns next week? — Alex
Last we left Kara & Co., viewers had discovered that Mon-El and Imra are actually in an arranged marriage, something the Girl of Steel does not yet know. “As a part of her journey of finding her identity and just coming to terms with who she is and knowing herself as best she can, she has really spent this season moving on and coming to terms with that relationship being what it is, and trying to be Mon El’s friend as best as she can,” Melissa Benoist tells me. “She doesn’t know at this point that they’re in an arranged marriage, but if he decides to tell her that, obviously she might change her mind [about her feelings], but I’m not sure.”

What do you know about the Riverdale finale? — Clara
According to Lili Reinhart, the central mystery of the season will be wrapped up in the penultimate episode, with the finale launching the show in a new direction, much like Riverdale did last season. And keeping in that vein, there will be another big cliffhanger. “What happens at the end of season 2 is tragic, but almost perceivable,” KJ Apa says. “You can see it coming a little bit.” As for who may be at the center of said tragedy, Cole Sprouse adds of the finale, “It’s utilizing a lot of hidden turns in the earlier episodes that a lot of people might’ve overlooked, and setting up a narrative that we didn’t realize was actually a chess game one of our characters was losing tremendously the whole time.”

Are we finally going to get to see the full extent of Hope’s powers on The Originals? — June
Now that Hope is a teenager, she will certainly be a bit more knowledgeable when it comes to her magic, but as we all know, teens can struggle to control their emotions, and that’s a problem for young witches. “Freya’s going to have a really important role with Hope early in the season as Freya becomes concerned,” showrunner Julie Plec says. “When Freya was a teenager, she didn’t have control over her own power and really bad things would happen when she got worked up. She recognizes that same jeopardy in Hope’s emotional state. Hope feels out of control, so she’s trying to help her learn how to control that.”

Anything on Quantico? — Mark
When Code Black creator Michael Seitzman joined season 3 of Quantico as its new showrunner, he decided to pivot the series away from the look of its previous seasons. “I wanted to let the show evolve in the third season,” Seitzman says. “I thought, ‘Can I free the show of the trappings of every other spy show on television, which is a lot of screens and a lot of databases and a lot of steel and glass?'” In other words, say goodbye to scenes with newfangled tech; season 3 will take on more practical threats, beginning with a mysterious international arms dealer nicknamed The Widow.

Why does Jess even need to work for Russell if Nick’s doing so well with The Pepperwood Chronicles on New Girl? — Carl
While it’s true Nick has a loyal fanbase thanks to his novels, it’s not easy crankin’ out new adventures for Julius Pepperwood year after year. In fact, you’ll see Nick struggle with writers’ block soon as he attempts to come up with fresh ideas for Mr. Pepperwood and Jessica Night. But lucky for him, Nick has the combined forces of Winston and Schmidt to help him out. Here’s hoping that brainstorm session goes better than this one.

Any news about Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost on The Flash? — Clarice
I hear that we’ll get to see a young version of Caitlin (played by Victoria Askounis) in an episode before season’s end. Details are being kept under wraps, but it’s safe to assume we’re seeing a flashback.

Can you tell us anything about Julie Woolth on The Arrangement? — Stephanie
Megan is determined to find her, and it probably won’t come as a big surprise to learn that Julie will play a big role in what’s left of the season. However, Julie’s involvement won’t just affect how Megan views Terence. Let’s just say that whatever secret Julie’s keeping could change how Megan looks at her husband-to-be, as well.

There’s a rumor going around that MW could be Cameron and Jonathon’s sister on Deception. Could that be possible? — Katie
Nice theory, but it’s unlikely. “We’ve got some episodes coming up where Stephanie [Corneliussen] and Jack [Cutmore-Scott] have some really great chemistry and I would not classify that chemistry as sisterly,” executive producer Chris Fedak says. There you have it.
