Scandal books Grey's Anatomy alum for final episodes

Grey’s Anatomy alum Michael O’Neill has booked an arc during Scandal‘s final run of episodes, EW has learned.

Marking his return to Shondaland since portraying the infamous perpetrator of the mass shooting at then-Seattle Grace Mercy West hospital in 2010, O’Neill will appear as a recurring guest star on the final season of Scandal. Details on his role are being kept under wraps.

O’Neill’s recent TV credits include Bates Motel, Extant, and S.W.A.T.

Scandal returns for its final run of episodes on Thursday, March 1 at 9 p.m. ET, which marks a crossover between the ABC political fixer drama and How to Get Away with Murder. Get details here. The show will then move to the 10 p.m. TGIT timeslot starting March 29 until its April 19 series finale.
